New Cyber Seekers Club Website Launch
The Campbelltown Senior Cyber Seekers will launch their new website at the General Members Meeting
nd
on Friday 2 February at the Campbelltown RSL Club.
The club has been without a website for some time and is
ready to launch a new site that will give users a well
featured and clean graphical interface. The new site has all
the details of the courses run by the Campbelltown Senior
Cyber Seekers and has a section highlighting all the
volunteers of the Club; Tutors, Duty Officers and our
Management Committee.
The site also has a Library section that has all of our recent
newsletters in on-line readable form. We will be adding
other related and “tips” documents in the Library that
support our lessons.
The Image Gallery has all the pictures taken of Club activities, which include the 2016 and 2017 Christmas
Partys, the 2017 AGM and our fun Carpet Laying adventure from 2017.
Also featured is a new Cyber Cinema. A video cinema where you can watch some highlights of the 2016
and 2017 Christmas Partys, including the famous “The Chicken joins the Chicken Dance” at the 2016
Christmas Party.
nd
The new site will be projected onto the screen at the General Members Meeting on Friday 2 February so
everyone can see the features of the site and how to access them.
New Courses for 2018
There are a number of new courses the Club will be offering members during 2018. The Nero Multimedia
classes will be of interest to those who have still pictures, either prints or digital images, or home videos
which they would like to transfer to a DVD. The classes will take you through all the steps necessary to scan
your prints into the computer, make some simple editing changes to them, and then produce a slide show
onto a DVD, For those who also have some home videos they wish to include, these can be edited to
remove any segments you wish and you also have the capability to add some titles to the video.
This promises to be a very exciting course and will give you an opportunity to store all your pictures and
videos onto DVD and share them with other family members or friends.
The Scanning Photos and Documents course will guide you through the process or scanning your old print
photographs and documents into your computer. The classes will guide you through all the settings on the
scanner so you get the best results possible from your scans. Scanned photographs can be edited so you
can correct a dark image into a bright image, repair a few marks that were on the print and also correct
any discolouration that has occurred to colour prints due to age. This is also and ideal class for those who
wish to enrol in the Image Manipulation classes when they are scheduled later in the year.
A detailed brochure on both of these courses, and others, will be available from the club and our new
website from mid February.
